Prehistoric Emo

A while ago I plurked a picture from yourscenesucks.com of a “prehistoric emo.” Coincidentally, Trevor from Young Urban was inspired to make some sweaters, and from there I was inspired to make a blog with the same style as the original source. Lots of inspiration going on, huh? For me, this style’s also pretty autobiographical, since this is apparently how I dressed in the early 2000s… I’m lame, I know.

Hello, December

Well, November flew right by for me, so here we are in December. I guess it’s probably cold where you live by now, but if you live where I do (Southern US) it’s probably not too chilly yet. I saw these jeans @ Stokely’s Closet a few days ago and had to buy them, so I figured I would feature them here! The hair’s from a new store (or new to me, anyway) that I’ve found called Buried Alive, which features some edgy and often scene styles. The flannel shirt’s a new release from Emery, who you’ve probably heard of, and same with the shoes (who hasn’t heard of Urban Bomb Unit?) Also, this is my first blog wearing Aitui’s new stretched ears, which are sculpted and scripted to perfection.

I apologize for the terrible cheesy title. I also apologize for the lack of posting lately, I’ve been busy, lazy, and technologically handicapped, but NEVER FEAR. Just a spur of the moment post today. This look’s a bit inspired by Jared Followill’s (from Kings of Leon) style, but it’s a bit of a stretch. Everything sans the hair and skin is new; I really love the shoes. WMD has some of the best looking boots on the grid, I recommend. The necklace came with a set that includes ear and facial piercings and another necklace. So yeah, enjoy. Rawr.

Look familiar? I’m in the process of refreshing my blog, so I will be redoing some of my very first looks from old posts and in turn deleting the old ones, since they don’t look too good. I figured since I’m doing the same for my store, I’d do the same here. This post is a remake of my first one, which you can find uh, on page one. Blowin’ in the Wind

Ok, so just by reading the title I hope you can figure out what this post’s theme is. If you can, yay good for you! If not, you’ve probably been living under a rock for the past forty years or so, so I’ll tell you: today’s look is all about Bob Dylan!

As a huge fan of both the man and the music, I’ve always thought Bob has a very signature look that almost anyone can recognize; be it the curly ‘fro or the wayfarer sunglasses. Bring on the picture!

Music inspiration, duh

This post is also my first wearing the new &Bean male skin… which is AWESOME. Not only is the detail excellent, each pack comes with four (or two, depending on the facial hair, prices vary) options including stubble and freckles. Best part? 1050 L$ per pack. That price is a hard one to beat.

The rest of my outfit I already owned except for the hair, which is a unisex style from Mirae. It takes some adjusting, but it’s a fun hair to wear, just take a good look at the demo first.

Sometimes

I wish I was a rockstar so I could wear leather pants and get away with it. Luckily, I can on SL. Sorta.

Today’s look is centered around a shirt from Mr. Gauge Laville’s new store, +blacklisted+. You probably (or should) already know him from his blog, This Is Your Second Life. Since I love Kings of Leon and well, naked women’s asses on my clothing, I chose to wear the Sex on Fire tee. Blacklisted’s stock currently consists of some grunge-chic (I just kinda made that phrase up, does it work?) graphic tees that you can pretty much wear with anything. So yeah, mark it down on your stores to visit list.

The rest of my outfit is almost all new, except maybe the finger tape, necklace, and bracelet. The skin (from Cheerno) is one of 20 released as a special summer offer and has an ultra manly lumberjack beard, not to mention the appeal of having an almost exclusive skin. Truth finally released more mens’ hair, (HOLY CRAP) so naturally I was all over that. The pants cost a small fortune, but are of excellent quality and make me feel like a non-zombie Mick Jagger. Nice. You might recognize the tattoo; it’s a re-release from Aitui. I remember seeing the original version in the Aitui store the first time I went in there a couple years ago. As usual, the shoes from HOC were mega cheap without sacrificing any quality; I would pay more than triple the 50L price for these babies. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m back in school, which means I’ve suddenly discovered my love of writing and yammering.

Dusk & Summer

Well, it’s back to school time for me and many others. This is such a bittersweet time of year for me as well as others, I’m sure. I wanted this outfit to be summery but with a hint of the oncoming fall. I also took the opportunity to include some nice freebies that are available now, so go get them!
